San Diego plastic surgery marketing
Plastic Surgery Marketing in San Diego, CA
San Diego is the only metro of the 30 where facelift leads the procedures Google attaches to plain plastic surgeon searches. We help independent practices win that face-focused demand, from La Jolla to Carlsbad.
The first three San Diego listings in the map results had 264, 248 and 241 reviews, and only 2 of 119 had 500 or more, so no practice dominates. La Jolla, Carlsbad and Del Mar drew 4 area suggestions each. Only 7 listings showed a Book online button. We build facelift and breast augmentation pages, area pages and a consultation path that give an independent practice the edge.

Local SEO for plastic surgeons
Chula Vista drew 3 plastic surgery suggestions and Encinitas 2, beside La Jolla, Carlsbad and Del Mar. San Diego and each area you serve get pages linked to your facelift and breast augmentation pages, and titles say San Diego, CA, since Google also suggested San Diego, TX.
Google Business Profile optimization
Only 7 of 119 San Diego plastic surgery listings offered a Book online button. We add consultation requests, enter facelift, breast augmentation and eyelid surgery as services, and keep the profile current, since 74 of 115 rated listings already had 4.8 stars or more.
Plastic surgery website design
San Diego patients named lower blepharoplasty twice, and asked about double eyelid surgery, scarless breast lift and skinny BBL. Pages for those options have candidacy, recovery and cost sections, and 10 Reddit-related suggestions tell us patients want candid answers.
Reviews and social media
San Diego reviews were spread out: the top 10 listings held just 36%, and the most-reviewed had 986. That leaves room, and a weekly review routine plus surgeon-led facelift posts build your share.
Paid ads (Google and Meta)
Facelift and breast augmentation ads are split among La Jolla, Carlsbad and Del Mar. Visitors who don't reach out see follow-up Facebook and Instagram ads, and each area's cost per consultation request is reported.

3. Grow local visibility
We publish the procedure and area pages San Diego patients are searching for, then keep them current.
4. Report monthly
Each month you see what went live and which consultation requests your practice chooses to count.

How long does plastic surgery SEO take in San Diego?
Results typically take months, and no agency can guarantee rankings.
What does plastic surgery marketing cost?

Facelift and breast augmentation, both tied to plain San Diego searches, are the first pages to build. Eyelid surgery and body procedures come next, with La Jolla and Carlsbad pages.
Do you only work with plastic surgery practices?
No. We work with independent med spas, aesthetic clinics, dermatology practices and plastic surgery practices, with a focus on aesthetic and cosmetic growth.

How we collected this data
Sources and what we could not collect
Collected September 26, 2026
- Google Maps: we searched Google Maps for plastic surgeons in San Diego, CA on September 26, 2026 and reviewed the 119 listings it returned, counting star ratings, review counts and Book online buttons. Google Maps stops at about 120 results per search, so these counts come from one search and are not a full census. Listing names aren't published.
- Listings named after one doctor: many Google listings belong to an individual doctor rather than a practice (the name starts with Dr. or includes a credential such as MD). They often have few or no reviews, which pulls the median down, so we also show the median without them. Practices branded with a doctor's name are left out of that second figure too.
- Search suggestions: Google's public autocomplete suggestions for 24 searches, such as a procedure plus the city name, in U.S. English. We removed suggestions that name a specific practice or hospital, point to another place with the same name, or have nothing to do with the specialty.
- Med spa comparison: the med spa booking figures come from the same kind of Google Maps search for med spas in this metro, collected on the same day.
What we could not collect
- Google's regular (non-map) search results: The service we use to read those results blocked our requests on September 26, 2026, so we did not retry.
- Google Trends interest over time: Google Trends turned our requests away as too many on September 26, 2026.
- The full Google results page, including ads: Google blocked our requests as unusual traffic on September 26, 2026.
- How many practices Yelp lists: Yelp blocked automated requests on September 26, 2026.
- A complete count of every plastic surgery practice in the metro: No public source gives one, and Google Maps shows only about 120 results per search.
- How many people search for each procedure: Autocomplete shows which searches exist, not how often they happen, and search-volume tools were not available to us.
